"Though the property is dated and could use some upgrades, the owners keep it very clean and do room freshen ups daily. The beds were comfortable and the linens were in good shape. Everything in the room worked (TV, clock, etc.) and there was a mini fridge and microwave. One thing missing though is a coffee maker in the room. We brought our own but that's an essential. "Excellent location, right on the lake, although the neighborhood/drive in was a little sketchy. Beautiful sunsets viewed from the lovely covered deck. Plenty of comfortable beds for lots of guests. Owners were very nice & responsive to our issues. House could use a deep clean: cobwebs & dead insects here & there. It was off-season so we didn't get to use the lake amenities. We hope to go back in the summer!"

"Great little cabin, extremely clean and appointed with all the basics. Perfect for me, my husband and two dogs. Perfect location for hunting and recreating in Uwharrie Forest. Kitchen has all the essentials for cooking. Can fish right from dock in front of cabin. Will definitely be back:)"

"Great location. It’s an old house that’s been renovated many times and so there are slightly different levels of flooring. Not a problem; just be aware if you have elderly folk. The only reason I gave four stars for check in regards the fact that I had to ask for the entry code. Customarily, this is sent along with WiFi code on day before tenancy. Owner responded quickly. Still it made for an extra step to settle before leaving and home and loss of internet to communicate. "
