"I don't think I spent enough time in Tomakomai to get a good feeling for the area, I mainly stayed here because it was close to Sapporo and the hotel was within walking distance from Tomakomai train station. The hotel was also very close to a Don Quijote, Lawson, and Seicomart. The only room option available at the time was a smoking room, and while it was clean, the room itself seemed old and like it needed some updating.
