"This was an absolute gem of a retreat. I was on a choir visit at The Abbey and needed to get there and back quickly between rehearsals and services and the place was just gorgeous. Beautifulmbig bedroom with all those little touches and sweet garden. Staff really helpful about leaving the car there after checkout and having a friend over for coffee. Breakfast was incredible…I want to come back!!!"

"We had a lovely welcome from Rupert who was an excellent host. Our room was spacious with everything we required - even fresh milk. Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. My gluten free diet was catered for very well. Can highly recommend."

The food was another highlight! I started with the scampi and pork crackling, and let’s be honest—who can say no to pork crackling? Both were absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor. My main was just as impressive, and breakfast the next morning was amazing. I had the Eggs Benedict, which was cooked to perfection, and the ham was to die for—so full of flavor and beautifully prepared. "Amazing place, temperature was minus and freezing so couldn’t get the heating high enough, but to be fair the bed was extremely comfy and had a really good sleep before going onto my next location, would definitely stay again and give time to use the facilities better!
