"Amazing place, temperature was minus and freezing so couldn’t get the heating high enough, but to be fair the bed was extremely comfy and had a really good sleep before going onto my next location, would definitely stay again and give time to use the facilities better! The Nog inn was a great local pub for food and drink 5 mins in a taxi "

"Arrived in the dark on a bitterly cold misty February night. Despite the fact that Steve had only just got out of hospital after a hip operation and clearly in pain, he did everything possible to make me welcome and comfortable. Rooms recently completely refurbished, well-pointed and warm. Great land scaping projects in the garden ready for the summer to make wonderful sitting out areas. The quintessentially simple cosy affordable Dorset Inn, log fire. stone floor simple decor, gumboots and pub labrador. Perfection."

"The house is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and warm. It was a great space for the six of us plus one dog. Unfortunately, the weather was awful (Storm Bert) which meant we hardly got out at all. Nevertheless, we had a great time, sharing company and food, cooking and eating in the fabulous kitchen dining space, where we spent the majority of our time and playing games. The farmhouse is an ideal venue and very well equipped for a group get together."

"Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb. Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous. Excellent wine selection and utterly superb soft drink (bottles in the fridge) range. Breakfast was really good. Yoghurt, fruits and cereal, then cooked options. Not excessive, but more than enough to start the day. Superb quality all round, would recommend."

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at King Arthur’s Rest! This charming 4-bedroom house was the perfect home base for our family’s southwest adventures. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house is spacious, cozy, and beautifully furnished, with plenty of room for everyone, including the kids. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the en-suite in the master bedroom was a real luxury. The host David was great, checked in on us during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. He's a professional chef and made recommendations of where to eat and grab a drink - he had great taste! The garden was a highlight for us. The kids loved running around and exploring while we relaxed in the hot tub. The BBQ was perfect for family dinners in the evening, and the two living rooms meant we could all spread out and unwind after a day of exploring. The location couldn’t be better. We loved being just a short walk from Cadbury Castle Hillfort—an amazing place to take in the views and let the kid's imaginations run wild with tales of King Arthur. There’s so much to do in the area. We took the kids to the Haynes Motor Museum, which was a big hit, and spent a day at The Newt, where we enjoyed the beautiful gardens and tasted some incredible apple cider. Everything is within a short drive, making it easy to plan activities for all ages. Overall, one of the best family holidays we've had, and when we come back (which we will!) we'll stay here again for sure!"
