"As English only speakers we really enjoyed our time at BaliAn even though most of the staff spoke only a small amount of English. They really looked after us, and with the use of Google Translate we managed to get things sorted out very quickly. "Stayed here to be close to a friend, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Check in was smooth (we don’t speak Japanese so sometimes a worry!), the hotel is nearby public transport and convenient shopping, and all the amenities we required were readily available. "Great hotel location in Shin-Yokohama. Breakfast item is same daily during my stay. There are restaurants nearby and close to Shin-Yokohama train station. However, train ride to Tokyo takes about 50 mins and 15 mins to Yokohama area. If you want to save some money and don't mind the train ride time, I recommend this hotel. "

"I like how this property offered breakfast and a large bath jacuzzi with our stay. What I didn’t like is how there was no key for us to access our room. It felt a bit unsafe knowing we can’t leave our room unless we call the front desk to open it for us. If there was a fire I would be very concerned with getting out of our room. Also it would be nice to not have to report what time we will be coming back to our room every day of our stay."

Must stay!

"All the staff was amazing. Most speak some English so it's not that difficult to communicate. Everyone we spoke to was very helpful. The hotel itself was not far from Yokohama station and very conveniently located. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Japan! Also, they will store your luggage before check-in time and help you ship it to your next destination!"

"We enjoyed our stay and everything was provided in the room! The guest handbook provided was very detailed and had translation of the Japanese words on remotes and appliances, which is very helpful. It also explained things visitors may not know about Japan rules, such as how garbage is to be separated. The only thing that was a bit trying was the distance to the nearest train station, which was a good 10-13 minute walk each way. Of course, this is not the fault of the owners and walking is fairly typical in Tokyo but just a note to those that want to stay closer to a station. Otherwise, I highly recommend this property, especially for those on a budget."

"We always stay here when we have to get on or off the Shinkansen as it is not too far. The variety of dining and shot options also make us want to stay here and it is not as chaotic as in Tokyo city centre or Shinjuku. We prefer this place as it is easily walkable to the shops and dining places we often go to as we know what we're getting. The staff are always friendly by and approachable. We also like the fact that when we request extra pillows they sent them right away. In other hotels, we are asked to come and get the pillow/s ourselves which is not so bad but the service at Prince Hotels are great usually. This is one of our fave hotels. Although our room with double beds was not as spacious as in similarly priced accommodation, we find it cater to our needs very well "
