"It was a great home base to retreat to after a day of exploring Tokyo. I wish there were more amenities for the price point but knew ahead of time that the area around it outweighed the minimalism of the hotel room. Very accommodating staff and a lovely tea/coffee place in the lobby. Worked out well for our large group. "

"The owners are very attentive, and present the Ryokan as your being a guest in their home. The traditional tatami is clean and comfortable. Lots of art and Japanese mementos all over, make you feel that you are in aJapanese home. Hot baths too!"

"Very convenient to trains, shoppers, dining. Very walkable! A block away from scramble. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is with the room, I dropped an earbud and it rolled under the bed. It was disgusting underneath and the room was underwhelming. Not what I expected for the rating. There was damage in the bathroom, walls in the room and dated furniture. "

"This hotel was perfect for a short trip. Rooms are small but it was ok as we were barely in the room. Bonus! Magna magazines were available to read in the lobby all day, unlimited drinks and coffee, and self serve vanilla ice cream. This was such a treat especially coming back to the hotel. "We enjoyed our stay and everything was provided in the room! The guest handbook provided was very detailed and had translation of the Japanese words on remotes and appliances, which is very helpful. It also explained things visitors may not know about Japan rules, such as how garbage is to be separated. The only thing that was a bit trying was the distance to the nearest train station, which was a good 10-13 minute walk each way. Of course, this is not the fault of the owners and walking is fairly typical in Tokyo but just a note to those that want to stay closer to a station. Otherwise, I highly recommend this property, especially for those on a budget."

"We always stay here when we have to get on or off the Shinkansen as it is not too far. The variety of dining and shot options also make us want to stay here and it is not as chaotic as in Tokyo city centre or Shinjuku. We prefer this place as it is easily walkable to the shops and dining places we often go to as we know what we're getting. The staff are always friendly by and approachable. We also like the fact that when we request extra pillows they sent them right away. In other hotels, we are asked to come and get the pillow/s ourselves which is not so bad but the service at Prince Hotels are great usually. This is one of our fave hotels. Although our room with double beds was not as spacious as in similarly priced accommodation, we find it cater to our needs very well "

"I loved my stay at the hotel. It’s not fancy but has everything you need and more, I found the bed really comfortable (firm) and having a microwave was great with the supermarket nearby. I loved the area- there are so many places to eat and when I wanted a busier area it was 3 stops to Shibuya on the frequent local train. I would certainly stay here again. "

"Spacious and clean. Moderate queen room was a good value. A good option if you want to stay in the neighborhood. Kichijoji has a very nice vibe compared to the more central neighborhoods in Tokyo. My only complaint was the 5000 yen fee to check out an hour later, at 12pm. Not an unreasonable amount but this is also the only time I’ve been charged this fee in my many trips to Japan. "

"Our stay at this property for our first trip to Tokyo, Japan was wonderful! It is conveniently located nearby train stations that are walking distance as well as 7-Eleven and Family Mart stores. There are also nearby eateries and a grocery store just a few blocks away. We would highly recommend this property to anyone, especially families or solo travelers who are looking for a quiet place to stay with everything that you need. Checking in and checking out was a breeze! The staff are super friendly, helpful, and very accommodating!"
