"The place was very cute but the check in for us was a nightmare. Could not get in contact with anyone and couldn’t find the exact location. Hotels.com was on the verge of finding us another place because nobody would answer the phone at the number provided when luckily another property owner knew of the place and helped us find it. Should just say in the listing to check in at Mar hotel or Don Taco."

"This place is an older home but it is clean. There is amazing woodwork throughout the house. It is secluded and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with paper towels. 😀 No paper towels or napkins at any of the places we stayed except this place. I guess I am pretty dependent on my paper towels. "

"We loved our stay in this cozy cabin. The location was stunning although I would not recommend for someone with mobility issues as the walk up/down is steep but there are stairs. The place is rustic and there were some bugs, after all it is literally in the jungle. I thought it was charming. It is the rainy season so the trees grow quickly and thus the view was obstructed. The property manager was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Would stay here again, no doubt."

"Comfortable, fun house with an absolutely incredible view of the forest. The porches are perfect rain or shine and the extended yard down the trail is great for observing birds and butterflies. Felt immersed in the countryside. Close enough to town that going out is relatively quick and easy. Road into the house was in good shape."

"This property was built exactly as the pictures show. You can hear the ocean waves with the doors and windows closed. There is an A/C wall unit in each room and not in the open living space. "We enjoyed staying at Casa Mango. True to it's name, there are mangos hanging off the big tree ready to eat or as we did, make mango margaritas! Josh is an excellent host and his girlfriend, Mariela, is an great cook. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast (gallo pinto/eggs), fab dinner (Arroz con Pollo) and the best pina coladas ever! The river/estuary views are every changing with the tides. Overall, it's a hidden paradise in a typical Costa Rican neighborhood."

"The house is old but kept clean and cozy. It is at a high position on the mountain with a good view of the forest and the ocean. We waked up morning with birds' song and the hummingbirds are not afraid of human at all. The meal prepared by Lilliana is very tasty. Our family enjoyed our stay of 2 nights."

"BUYER BEWARE No hot water and beach is dirty. I contacted Vacasa before confirming reservation to verify had hot water due to previous review. I was told I would have hot water but never did. The pool water was warmer than the shower. The company was notified as soon as we knew there was no hot water. Beach is very dirty due to ships waiting to get into port and dumping garbage while waiting. We did see monkeys and birds which were beautiful. Sorry for the bad review I tried to work with you."

"The property and experience were unforgettable. It all started with the most hospitable and helpful host, Emel. He made us feel welcome and even helped us get pizza delivery to the glamping tent. "The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. Our cabin overlooked the trees with birds galore. Plenty of trails around the property with a fish hatchery, flowers, fruit, etc. we opted for breakfast the first day but didn’t realize we were to tell them on the next day. Not sure what happened. Defiant would stay again. Pool was freezing so we couldn’t enjoy it very much when we were there. "
