"Rancho de Lelo Ecolodge is a family owned small lodge, located about 20 minutes from the main area of Monte Verde. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with this charming family. The National Park is only 10-15 minutes drive. The farm to table cuisine was awesome. Highly recommended. "

"Rooms are cabin like. No air conditioning or pool but evenings were cooler. Lots of different tours and shopping experiences. Hard to park in town but found a good restaurant with a parking lot. Staff were very nice and knowledgeable "

"The most peaceful experience I had while in CR, it is nestled in the mountains full of flowers, and birds! The food is fresh, affordable and tasty. We went to a few restaurants in the area and they were the best option. They carry Suiz y Tico beer, highly recommend. My favorite was laying on the hammock outside my room watching the rain, lightning, and hummingbirds!"

"This is place to be in if you are a nature lover. This place is so serene and peaceful. The staff especially, Emel and Carlos took care of us so dearly. We felt as if we are home and they really took care of whatever we need. However, you need all wheel drive to get to Monteverde and also to this Hotel. That was the only hiccup we had. Once we reached there, it was very fabulous experiece. "

"The staff, breakfast, and location were great, and the nearby capuchin monkeys and wildlife were delightful. But… a hotel has one main job to do: provide a comfortable bed and pillow for a good night’s rest. Our three-night stay wasn’t great. Bed and pillows didn’t cut it. We liked the help with getting transportation and an excursion to the Cloud Forest Reserve, but we were always dreading the night’s sleep. If you’re going to drive all the way to Monteverde, stay somewhere more comfortable."

"Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Helped us with seeing wildlife in the surrounding rain forest. He delivered our daily breakfasts with his car…..a short drive from his house to our cabin. Refreshed our sit-in pool during our stay. Upon our request….gave us coffee for the coffee maker. Very friendly owner…..enjoyed chatting about wildlife!"
