"This property was fantastic. It had all the amenities we were looking for. Room was clean with great view. Seemingly endless thermal pools at different temperatures hidden along a path up the hill was incredible. Breakfast in the morning was great. The bonus was the swim up bar that was warm. Many iguanas on the property. Wish we could’ve stayed longer."

"Absolutely beautiful property, ladscaping was emmaculate - it was SO nice to be able to go to the other property and use the pool, spa, hot tub at Poco a Poco and the daily complimentary breakfast was wpnderful. Excellent staff, very close to everything and a perfect room for our short stay here!"

"This Arenal Montechiari is a great deal for price conscious travelers it’s an older property and a little rustic, but very clean with exceptional service. It’s perfect for tourists in that it’s walking distance to many restaurants in downtown La Fortuna. Almost all of the local sightseeing activities offer shuttles to and from the hotel. Great breakfast too! No wifi in rooms but is available in reception and the restaurant. Would definitely stay again."

"We were two moms with two kids (11 and 16) and this hotel checked all the boxes for us. Adventure (horseback riding, nature walks, water slides), nature (everywhere) and relaxation (hot springs, hammock, nice dining). Everyone on staff was super nice and welcoming and so were the other guests. It's a little remote but it made us feel like we were sometimes staying by ourselves in the rainforest. Our favorite place when we visited CR!"

"From the time we arrived at the resort, I knew we were going to have an enjoyable and memorable time. "Great hotel for a great price. One of the few hotels I’ve stayed in where the pictures do not do it justice, the view from our mountain suite was amazing. The room was clean, spacious, and secure. The room doesn’t have A/C which threw us off at first but this is typical for the area as the cool mountain wind was more than enough for a comfortable stay with the windows cracked. "Warm welcome by the owners Lelo, Juana, Beatriz and Natalia who were very nice, kind, helpful and professional. Our cabin was clean, lovely, spacious with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The lush gardens were fantastic. They offer laundry service at $5/kg, assigned free parking, pool with mineral spring water, strong WiFi, delicious breakfast from 7-9am and dinner at 6pm. The dirt road from the highway to the lodge was rather lengthy. Great job and thanks. Highly recommended!"

"Beautiful property near the Cloud Forest Reserve. It feels secluded but it’s close to everything. Check-in was super easy and the staff was very friendly. The 3 bedroom cabin was cozy and lovely especially the outdoor seating area. Would definitely stay again!"

"Staff was great and hotel was beautiful. Food was good but could be better. Because we traveled during the holiday busy week, it took us an hr to get to downtown la Fortuna. So, most nights we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. It would be nice if things stayed open later like the hot springs and kids club, etc. But the service was exceptional. Free laundry machines to wash your clothes and shoe dryer was a bonus! "

"Clean, breakfast was good, staff very friendly and eager to assist. Working hard to improve the grounds. Excellent for the price range. not the Hilton, nor the price, so very good for the price range. Need a vehicle if you wish to go to town as too far to walk. La Fortuna is a great place to visit, lots to do and many restaurant choices in town..12 min drive. Nice pool area, hiking and waterfalls at your door step. "

"Great location and food options. Hotel was clean with a lot to offer. Staff was helpful but not overly friendly. The pool was the let down. Toooo cold!! Could not use once. Only 1/2 hot tub worked which was a drawback. Oh a great massage "
