"This is the perfect stay for those who holiday with their hound. Our room had its own private garden which backed on to a popular pathway. Our every need was catered for - from a welcome cake to a delicious breakfast and plenty of drinks for the room. There are dog-friendly restaurants nearby, including the lovely Devonshire Arms. "My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of December in the Warren room and it was so comfortable! Ziz was the perfect host, what a lovely place the Sheriff Lodge is, close to town and 5 mins from a lovely nearby pub for an evening meal. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice, the homemade granola topped with fruit was the best! Overall a wonderful place to stay and we will return in the summer. "We booked our stay back in September. On 13th October we travelled 200 miles from Scotland, arriving at 8pm, to find it closed. It transpired that the hotel had gone out of business on 5th October. No one had thought to inform us, and cancel our booking!
