"This has been recently refurbished and made into a hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and shower was great. We have stopped in a few hotels in Sheffield when visiting our daughter and have always been slightly disappointed either with the rooms or parking. We were disappointed to find that we couldn’t use ethernet cables to connect to the internet and our work laptops wouldn't work on the public wifi (due to VPN security). Hotel a bit isolated, that said the outlet store the other side of dual carriageway is worth a wander. Plenty of parking when we visited on a Saturday night, Sunday breakfast good variety. Reception lady lovely. 10 mins into Sheffield, this hotel might now become our goto"

"This is an old hotel, which does need some tlc, however, the receptionist told me the rooms are nearly finished a refurb and whats been done so far is lovely. Our executive double was large, warm and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was served fresh, hot and good quality. Great location. Shame its £9 a night to park but as the accommodation is so reasonable we didnt mind. Much better than many other sheffield hotels."
