"Beautiful and well appointed property just around the corner from Wally’s fill station and within walking distance or a 5 minute drive of all the Mayberry attractions. Liz was kind and response. Our extended family had an excellent stay, all the way down to our 12lb Italian Greyhound."

"The views were beautiful and we didnt need to leave the whole weekend! You may want to stop for groceries on the way in. If you don't mind the drive, there's a little food lion aboit 20 minutes away. Definitely a getaway "PEACE" of space!"

"We spent two nights in rhe Comfort Zone. We had everything we needed and Debbie was extra nice and helpful. We saw two beautiful sunrises from the front porch! It was a quiet, peaceful place. Just what we needed. "

"Location, location, location! So quiet and peaceful. We stayed during winter so even more peaceful. Did not catch and fish but were told they migrate in winter. That was evident as we are avid anglers. Mt. Airy has all services and supplies one might need plus plenty of places to eat and historical things to do. The cons: Well water with sulfur smell. That takes some getting used to. Bottled water is a must. kitchen was ill equipped for any foodies thinking of renting (bring your favorite...

"Mayberry Memories was an absolute delight. Very well decorated and stocked with probably the best kitchen items I’ve had in a rental. We needed nothing extra. We were able to enjoy hanging out in the living room and around the fire pit catching up. The house is very dog friendly and mine really enjoyed the fenced in back yard. It was a pleasure they don’t have often. Beata was an awesome host staying in contact and offering little perks. Much appreciated! "

"This trip was absolutely magical. Just off the beaten path, this yurt is next to a creek and the views from the hot tub are great day and night. We had some issues with the wifi, but there’s so much to do day and night we didn’t end up needing it. Definitely worth it to rent the ATV. Jodee was attentive, responsive and created an atmosphere to remember. "

"From check in to check out everything was seamless. The house and grounds were beautiful, there is even a kiwi tree! My family loved the gym (especially the exercise swing) and the kitchen had everything we needed. So much care and attention to detail by the owner. We will definitely be back!"

"This was a lovely little stay for us. We were traveling with our dog, so we needed somewhere to accommodate us. I would say this place is a bit more pet tolerant than pet friendly, but we were able to make it work. It was clean, efficient, and cute to boot. As others said, the stairs are a bit steeper than expected, but not unmanageable. "

"This place is a 10/10, beautiful cider house. The host was very communicative, as the power was out the night before. The host worked diligently to keep me updated and everything worked out! It was raining during our stay but it was a nice get away and very cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back! Thanks."

"I took a week off from life for a personal retreat. The “Cozy Nest” sure did live up to its name. You can hear a little traffic on the road below, but that proved to be good White Noise for sleeping. The place is adorable and every amenity is available. Probably better outfitted than my home. The beds are incredibly comfortable and everything works perfectly as it should. Definitely remote and a world away, but only nine minutes to downtown Mount Airy. I would definitely stay here again and...

"Nicest couple ever! Had OJ, milk, cinnamon bread and Reese’s peanut butter cups in kitchen upon arrival. Had wonderful animals like goats, guineas, a cat named Mr. Pringles, ducks, and a rabbit. Beautiful country setting. Not in city but only about 8 minutes to Mount Airy. The cabin was beautifully decorated inside and out. Also, very clean! We will be back! "

Comfort Inn in Mount Airy was a pleasant surprise

"The Comfort Inn in Mount Airy was such a pleasant surprise. We were looking for something moderately priced, close to the historic downtown (Mayberry) and were willing to compromise on accommodations. The Comfort Inn is a gem! The moment you walk in you’re greeted with a friendly smile from the front desk and the place looked great. Check in was simple and quick. The room was perfect - clean, modern with a decent amount of space. Couldn’t ask for more. Mt Airy downtown was kind of a letdown - not much to see and the Mayberry references were a bit stretched. The museum we visited - thinking it was the Andy Griffith museum, but not - was pretty boring and seems to be a little disorganized. We ended up going to a local brewery for dinner. Took way too long to get food and it was just average. Mount Airy was a let down but the Comfort Inn was a star! "

Mini vacation

"Hotel was awesome. Staff was friendly. Pool was clean, our room was super comfortable. Breakfast was yummy. Waffles, fresh fruit. Yogurt, oatmeal, juice, cereal boxes, milk, hardboiled eggs, omlet, chicken sausage, toast, bagels, muffins. All sirts if toppings for waffles and add uns for oatmeal. I wonderful tea selection as well as different types of coffee. Will definitely come back here next time we are in the area."
