"We have stayed at Shannon Cottage many times. It is very comfortable and well stocked. The location is perfect! It is in a quiet residential area just a couple of blocks from the town square. The fened yard is great for our dogs. The owner is lovely and provides a personal touch."

"Me and my 3 dogs stayed and had an amazing time. The location is great for excursions into the park to hike or drive around as well as easy access into Bar Harbor. The only difference between the online listing and the cabin was the carpet appears to be recently replaced with laminate flooring that made it even easier to clean up after the dogs. If you want a spa like experience, keep looking, but if you are serious about getting into and out of the park to explore with a clean, safe and dog...

"Beautiful place "

"Overall, this property was a perfect one for our group. The setting and the property itself, as well as the location and proximity to all of our excursions was perfect. The only issues we had were, #1 the beds, which were terrible comfort wise, and #2 the fact the cleaning crew didn't check the oven, where the previous visitors left a leftover meal of seafood and vegetables. Outside of these two minor problems, the stay was very enjoiable. "

"The location is fantastic. It was an easy 1/2 mile walk to the center of town, making it really convenient to hop on the Island Explorer or go to dinner in town. It was a good amount of space, with a reasonably sized living room for the 4 of us and it was great to also have a full-size kitchen. There were apparent signs of wear and tear on the house that slightly detracted from the atmosphere. This included a tear in the wall in the kitchen and the need for a fresh coat of paint throughout...

"We had a great stay! The cottage was very cute and clean, check in and out was easy, and the location was very convenient to the park and to Bar Harbor. The space is small but 3 of us fit very comfortably, would definitely recommend and would stay again!"

"Very nice cottages privately set back from the road. 15 minutes from Acadia and 20-25 to Bar Harbor. We spent most of our stay in one of those areas. There’s not much around the cabin so the short trips are necessary but easy to navigate. The cottage was comfortably sized and had a nice kitchen."
