"The Lookout is a great little hotel right in Rye. If its 5* you are looking for it is not, but lovely building in reasonable condition. Huge room with terrace that was nice. Very comfortable bed with lots of soft bed linen and pillows. Bathroom was a little dated but it all worked and lots of toiletries. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of food for all tastes and you can eat what you want, all freshly cooked. Continental food was fresh and tasty. No lunch or evening food so very quiet. Shame because nice bar and outside sitting area. Staff very helpful and nice. Overall a great stay. Thank you."

"Room was spotlessly clean and had a fabulous ocean view. There is traffic in front of the hotel so beware when booking if you are a light sleeper. There are rooms that do not face the street. Hotel does provide ear plugs and we slept just fine. Restaurant on site served great breakfast. Only suggestion I would make in the room we had (room 4) would be to see about switching the tv and stand with the dresser and mirror as when you lie in bed the tv was on the left as opposed to straight ahead which made it difficult to view. Also the mirrors in the room need to be raised so that everyone can use them. If you hung the mirror over the dresser longways then it would solve the problem. Just some thoughts. Thanks"
