Richard is so welcoming, the mansion is huge and beautiful and full of character, and he even put together snack breakfast for me to take with me because I could not stay for the actual breakfast. Winona itself is lovely and I was able to take a couple of sunset walks on the water after I arrived quite late. I can’t recommend this place enough."

"This is an historic, well-maintained hotel, where each room is uniquely named after a river boat that traveled the Mississippi, and decorated to reflect the time period. It was a wonderful trip back in time. Well worth spending a weekend here."

"Carmen is perhaps the sweetest manager/front desk agent I've encountered, and I stay at a lot of hotels! Very professional as well! Lobby and dining area is very homey and clean. Love the Fall decorations! Clean room. Soft beds. Great breakfast. Love the shower head, it actually sprays a decent amount of water compared to other hotels. Oh, and complimentary cookies! I'll definitely stay here again if I make it back to the area!"
