"Staying at Hifumi Ryokan was awesome! The staff there was always ready to help out and some even knew some English! The room itself was comfortable and sleeping on the futons was not much different than sleeping on a regular bed. The breakfast was very traditional and has good and bad points to it if you are not used to it. However, the location of Hifumi cannot be understated. It is right next to Kyoto Station so it is very easy to go to places like Osaka or Nara for the day and come back. "

"The property is a good Ryokan experience. The hosts were respectful and provide information on how to get through to the tourist spots. The place is well maintained and i would suggest to try the private bath which is conveniently located in the property for free. The Con here would be the distance from the Kyoto station. Make sure to take the Central Exit after alighting from Shinkansen. There are a few easy to follow rules that you are required to follow in this property."
