"The Hotel has what you need for a quick overnight on the way up to the slopes. I appreciate the hardwood floor, it feels clean, white walls makes it feel updated Bathroom is updated and spacious with great shampoo and conditioner. And the staff is superfriendly. Its totally fine to stay a second night. But we miss to have a place close by for to get dinner "

"This is not the Ritz. But if you need a decent place to stay for a reasonable price this the place. Most times when you travel alone all you’re looking for is a comfortable bed with clean sheets and a shower that works well. Totally fills the bill. I’ve stayed here probably 10 times. I keep coming back so they’re doing something right. Plus the staff is amazing"

"We stayed at Halcyon House in Amador City. The house was very comfortable for 3 couples. Everything in the house is updated and tasteful. It has a nice outdoor area but was too chilly for us to be outside. It's a very short walk to downtown. Marilee is the most responsive host I've ever worked with on a vacation rental. I hope to return to this house again - it's a special find. "
