"I stayed here once a year ago and remember being impressed that a motel 6 stay was actually pretty nice for once. I think I got lucky that time...this time my room was so gross that I had to ask for a room change for the first time in my life. There was an immediate moldy stench when I walked in. "Our family had a wonderful stay at the Lakehouse - spacious, warm, clean and light, beautiful scenery (lake, vineyards, horses). Kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, small appliances, and cooking gear, as well as basic kitchen needs (oil and spices, foil, etc.). We loved the great room, movie night, walks on the property. Tim and staff were quick and attentive to a request for help in re-setting the TV/cable/internet box. Fairly quick drive into Placerville for supplies, wine tasting....
