"Overall a good stay at Hockey House, friendly staff, excellent food and a good night's rest. My only concern is that a superior double is nothing more than a standard double just a slightly larger room. No chairs or stool to sit on just a bed, a table with drinks making facilities and a standard bathroom. I would stay again but would ask to see the room first before accepting it as my stay."

"Very comfortable bed, large bathroom with both bath and over-bath shower. Super easy communication with Mary. Easy access to the National Motorcycle museum for my conference. Easy walking access to shops, cafes and restaurants in lovely neighbourhood. My only negative would be that the microwave had old food on the glass rotating plate - this may have been left by a previous user between cleans. great to have access to fridge and microwave. Thank you for a very comfortable stay."

"We stayed here as it is very local to my sisters and were up for a family Christmas and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed and everything was polite and friendly. The room was well presented and there were even chocolates waiting for us. Plus a fully stocked coffee/tea/hot chocolate and biscuits. The ensuite had a wonderful shower plus clean fluffy towels and a heated towel rail with shower gel/soap. The heating was on and it was very warm when we arrived, so we turned it off and would...

"We have stayed at the Limes 3 times over the last 18 months for a week at a time. The Owner (Dave) and his son (Dan) are fabulous people. We also joined the Limes for the New Years Eve party. It was such fun to see families with little ones enjoying the celebrations. Many activities for all. As with most UK hotels there is a kettle, cups, tea and milk on the ready. There is a warm and welcoming family atomosphere at the Limes! "

"The White Lion is a nice pub but, unfortunately, my room was very small with a tiny bathroom. I retired early but the noise from the pub was very loud. Food was ok but not spectacular."
