"I stayed here 10 years ago and it was wonderful. The “bones” are great but “cracks” are appearing. The rooms are generous and the property and vistas are beautiful. The property, rooms and facilities are beginning to look a little tired and the staff are struggling. The swimming pool and spa are a long way away but there used to be buggies to pick you up especially during the heat of the day. Phones not working so room service was difficult. "This hotel lived up to the great ratings it has received...and then some. Every employee we encountered was warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the rooms lovely. Best was all the elephant themed art work throughout the property. It was like walking in a modern art museum!"

"Hotel in the jungle with a rustic charm. Room was good with a comfortable bed. Lots of ants in the room initially but I suppose being in the jungle that’s to be expected! Restaurant food was plentiful and delicious. We stayed three nights and we didn’t get bored as there was a good varied choice -buffet or the a la cart menu-. Pool towels available and the attendant keeps the pool side nice a clean, especially with his endless battle with cleaning fallen leaves up. Bar staff were very friendly...
