"We had a very nice stay at this hotel in the mountains. There were some nice (though not easy) walks nearby me the hotel felt much like a wellness retreat. We opted for 1/2 board (breakfast dinner) since there were not a lot of spots nearby and the driving made me a bit nervous. The menu had good selection and I appreciated seeing wines on the menu from their Duoro vineyard location. "

"Beautiful peaceful location with excellent staff. Very small bedroom but numerous lounge areas which would make it very suitable for groups of family or friends. Paid for a mountain view but couldn't see them because trees obstructed the view. Guests should be aware that the property is about 15 kilometres before the town of Mantegias and is quite isolated. "Loved the quaint Casa da Roda. The property is in need of new carpet and paint in the common areas. But the room was nice and clean and quiet. The refrigerator didn’t work (it was plugged in but the one lonely beer and one juice in it were warm and sad). The breakfast was great! Didn’t get to enjoy the indoor pool because they charge extra for it (surprising). Only the outdoor pool was included. I would think they would include the main indoor facilities and just charge for treatments like most...
