Private, quiet, serene

"Property is large with gorgeous views. Barbara and David are very pleasant, were reapectful of our time, and it felt private even though they were just upstairs. Sammy, their vizsla, is also super sweet. The place was homey and comfortable. We VERY much appreciated bringing our canine family members and they loved all the room to run. Location a short drive to downtown. Definitely would stay again if they would have us. "

Clean, comfortable value hotel.

"This is a very nicely maintained hotel. Not everything was brand new, but everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and clean. The refrigerator, microwave and morning breakfast were appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located and had ample parking. It was a very comfortable stay and I would consider it a good value for the price. I would be happy to stay here again."

Great Stay

"My five brothers and four sisters-in-law had a great three night stay at Jackson's and Amy's place just north of downtown Decorah. We were all comfortably housed. The kitchen was up to snuff for our cooking needs. The beds were great. And the fire pit at night was glorious. The house itself is a charmer, and it was a wonderful value. Many thanks to our hosts!"

The Nest: Beautiful Apartment Style Lodging In The Heart Of Downtown Decorah.

Make up weekend

"We came to town to watch Luther softball. We had a great two nights and have enjoyed the Nest on previous trips as well. We enjoy having the ability to use a kitchen, the sitting area is large enough to watch a movie with friends and the rental is always clean. We had to cancel this room this fall for Homecoming and the owner was able to move the reservation to this weekend. We found that very accommodating for us and really appreciated it."
