"Casa Portuguesa was such a beautiful and elegant building, with lots of beautiful hardwood in the rooms, spacious storage and bathroom, and a private patio with a big french door. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. We loved the hot tub in the greenhouse and the pool to jump into to cool off! The location is perfect--on the edge of downtown, overlooking a park, just steps from good restaurants but far enough from the busy center to make driving and parking...

"Excellent place to stay. Clean, spacious. Was there my entire trip. Location is very good and parking convenient. It is an easy drive to the east and west of the island. Ponta Delgada can be explored on foot. Eduardo was very helpful with good tips on how to explore the island and restaurant/food recommendations. "

"This is a super cute and unique place! We loved breakfast and the dinner options. Having the pineapple greenhouses right there to explore was great. The massage in the pineapple garden was fantastic! Would definitely rebook!"

"Seemed a bit expensive for what was offered (no breakfast/cafe da manha) but accomodation was extremely tight on Sao Miguel Island vs. Faial Island. A bit of traffic in the st. but I still slept well."

"Peaceful & tranquil, to the highest standard, looks like a brand new hotel with a new pool area. A lovely double room with huge shower & aircon. A small fridge in the room. Cakes available at tea time & a superb continental breakfast with cooked eggs."

"Livramento is a small town so very quiet and easy to find parking. However, you may need to rent a car if you choose to stay here. Price is reasonable. Rooms size OK, beds OK, and water pressure of shower was stable. Facility was good - shared dining room and 3 x washer machines (4 but 1 was broken). A market is within walkable distance for breakfast and food/water. Cleanliness 3 stars - the rooms were clean. However, there were insects inside the apartment, and this annoyed couple of my...

"This place was amazing. We had our own bathroom and one of the best views ever. The staff was excellent, the rooms were always clean and fresh smelling. Was a little skeptical at first with no air conditioning but we never needed it. There was a ceiling fan installed during our stay as well as the balcony door opened all day and night. Never felt hot, easy to sleep. Excellent stay"

"An absolutely perfect stay. The hotel is lovely, clean, and well maintained. My room had everything I needed and the air conditioner was a bonus that worked perfectly. The staff went out of their way to help me - making sure I got breakfast before my tour, calling taxis, making recommendations etc. It’s a smidge out of the main part of town but still only a 10 minute walk or so. Would absolutely recommend. "

"Claudio our host was responsive and very helpful. Excellent customer service and location was perfect and centralized to entire part of the island. There is a free parking lot to park overnight north of the property. About .70 euro per hour if parking on street . Place was spacious with adequate amenities. Would definetly come back again. "

Casa das Palmeiras Charming House Azores

Excellent service and beautiful room

"The staff at Casa das Palmeiras were extremely kind, helpful, and respectful. We arrived early on our first day in Sao Miguel, and the staff let us store our luggage at the house while we waited. They were even able to move up our check-in time. Our room had an excellent view of the neighborhood below and amazing, high ceilings. There was even a thoughtful welcome snack offered as well as a bottle of water. Every morning, we were served excellent breakfast at the site, including assorted fruits and breads. The staff also directed us to safe and easy overnight parking options. Our stay at Casa das Palmeiras was truly a highlight of our trip."

"This is a very nice hotel with beautiful views of the ocean. The dining area similarly has open views of the ocean, giving a very calming atmosphere. The indoor pool is huge, with very nice tiles, one of the nicest that I have seen. The staff are very attentive and helpful. This was a very relaxed stay."
