"A nice, clean hotel with a charming beachy vibe. The room was small but very practical, featuring a desk, chair, coffee station, and a comfortable king bed. The bathroom was clean and well-designed. What stood out the most was the incredibly friendly staff—including the valet—and the hotel’s dog-friendly atmosphere. My dog had a fantastic stay too!"

"Our family really enjoyed the amenities this hotel offered, but were sad to learn the pool was under construction. It’s not the hotels fault, but I’d say Expedia included the closure in very small print that I did not notice when booking, so that was a bummer. I’m sure it will be beautiful when it’s re-opened. "It's certainly not worth the price to be honest. Yes, it's a great location, no doubt about that, but it's a Motel 6. There is absolutely nothing more than what any other Motel 6 offers.Though the rooms do have a cool vintage feel.... Still doesn't make it worth the price. "First, I don't look for fancy in a hotel room. Instead, it's about convenience, location and the service, and this place has all three in spades. The best aspect about staying here was Ameil at the front desk (BTW, he has a college degree in hospitality). Nearly every morning I would get a cup of coffee (local from SB Roasting Company!) and an apple (not gross red delicious but honey crisp), and sometimes a pastry (also local from up north), and I would chat with Amil about all kinds of topics....

"The location of this hotel is very good. It is close to the waterfront of Santa Barbara. We had some trouble trying to understand how to use the heat in the room, and the staff person came up to our room and showed us how to operate the remote for the heater. This was above and beyond what I might have expected somewhere else. And my husband and I appreciated it. "We enjoyed our stay. Staying at Palihouse makes you feel like you’re actually living within the Presidio neighborhood in Santa Barbara. The rooms are a nice size, the bed was comfortable and it was just what we needed for a weekend away. The location is really great. It’s close to shopping and restaurants on State Street, wine tasting rooms, and lots of great coffee shops. We loved walking around the neighborhood and would definitely stay here again. "

"I knew the room would be small (as we got the smallest room they had), but it was barely walkable. About 8 inches to scoot between the wall and the bed. Everything was good quality and the bed itself was comfortable, but overall not worth the price paid. Usually you can justify the price with amenities, but this location doesn’t have a hot tub, or breakfast, etc."

"There was some mix up at check in and the room we paid for was not available. Also we needed a dog room which apparently even though I stated it in the notes was not reservable In the end we got a very tiny room with a sub par access path and wasn’t able to really enjoy any of the real beauty of the hotel, except for in lobby Hotel tried to make it right. But it was still very disappointing. The location of the hotel is fantastic. The inside and outside of the hotel is very beautiful....
