"Nice house, the description is pretty accurate. Quite comfortable for 8 people. We stayed in the mid of summer; the pool was very warm. The river was also warm and good for swimming. The things to pay attention to: - during hot days A/C works to full capacity. - the closest store is 10-15 min away, not walkable - if you are uncomfortable driving steep up/down hill, and sharp turns, consider staying elsewhere. "

"Our group of 10 enjoyed our stay in Penafiel. The property is beautiful - gorgeous sunset, nice pool and a friendly neighbourhood cat. The kitchen has everything that one would need, although it could use a larger kitchen sink! We loved the outdoor bbq and pizza oven. The owner communicated well with us. We highly recommend taking the owner up on the offer to have the Portuguese cook to whip up some excellent Portuguese fare. "

"Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward."

"We found the this property perfectly located and an easy walk to everything. The rooms and apartment layout allowed us to spread out and relax after busy days exploring beautiful Porto. "Beautiful apartment, though some issues with check-in as we arrived late and found the apartment, but check-in place is 2 blocks away. There have been some similar reviews indicating check-in confusion, but we still fell into the same hole. I believe the real issue is the apartment still use the old style locks, both for the main door and apartment door. So so they have to hand in the keys to you, and that’s why they offer 24 hour check-in. If they can modernize the locks with the digital ones,...

"Everything was wonderful. Couple of suggestions- Provide drinking water, at least 1 bottle every day. All other hotels in Portugal did.its given the first day and stopped. Have some lighting outside the hotel entrance at the road level. It looks dark and hard to find for uber when it’s dark. "

"Best place we have stayed in Portugal! This was a super convenient place to stay. We were able to walk everywhere. Lots of cafes and cool spots to eat, sit and drink. The facility was awesome, the rooftop is great. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We had a great time! "

"We had an early flight so stay right by the airport and this worked perfectly. The room was comfortable and quiet. They arranged a taxi for us at check-in to the airport which was greatly appreciated. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. "
