"We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. A well equipped house and the fresh water pool was a delight. The views are lovely. Arie was a great host (don't forget to ask for directions). A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We'd love to come back!"

"We spent a wonderful week in this lovely villa in August. Very well equipped and comfortable, and in a great location to explore the area - but note the roads are very windy and hilly so it can take a while to get places! The swimming pool is great with a fantastic view, and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the river. The owner Maria gave us some good tips on places to visit and made us very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality :)"

While on the ground floor the common area suited the group well, everyone couple/family had its own room and space upstairs. There have been some similar reviews indicating check-in confusion, but we still fell into the same hole. I believe the real issue is the apartment still use the old style locks, both for the main door and apartment door.
