"I’m pretty sure I’ve fallen in love…both with the property and our wonderful hosts. Our expectations were exceeded throughout. Guida and John are so lovely and their property is just magnificent. Between the endless view and the magical well-manicured gardens and the comfortable accommodations we felt at home and at peace. "We stayed here for a few nights while visiting the Poas Volcano and area waterfalls. Our stay here was WONDERFUL! The place is clean, updated and has such a beautiful view. The host had great communication. We booked the place specifically for the hot tub and it did not disappoint, such a relaxing way to end the day after lots of hiking. 10/10 recommend!!"

"Villas del Rio is very well managed--I can't say enough about how good their staff is and the facilities are really nice as well. I've seldom been this satisfied with a hotel stay, but they were outstanding! I just had the basic one-bedroom booking, but still it was like a small apartment. Don't hesitate to stay there. "

"We had plenty of space for 4 guys. We spent most of our time in living room or balcony. The sound of the fountain and architecture of the house made it peaceful. You have the full view of the city. The staff were helpful and communicative over WhatsApp. We asked for messages and coordinated with professionals familiar with house. There’s a bit of travel to and from San Jose or sure but it’s worth it. Always tell driver to follow the signs and the street has white stones lining the roadway....

So Lovely

"Everyone here was so lovely. The shuttle driver was there to meet us at the airport. The breakfast host was superior, bringing us native fruits and telling us about them. He even made a balloon animal for a child there. Would highly recommend."
