"The property is just outside of town. Would recommend a car to get around. It is a bit tricky to find after dark. The manager sent us detailed instructions to help and met us at the property to check in. Lots of monkeys to watch just outside on our decks. The furniture in the living room is a bit hard for sitting, but a great place to stay if you are looking for nature. Highly recommend."

"Campo Azul was incredibly beautiful. The views across rolling hills to the ocean are amazing. You are surrounded by lush gardens. We saw various birds, squirel, aguti, white faced capuchin monkeys eating in the garden. The monkeys break off sugar cane from the garden and take it into the trees. Santa Elena Town is a very short drive away. Be aware there are many unpaved roads in Costa Rica and we were glad to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
