The Octopus's Garden

2.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (11)
"I was very impressed with my stay here. As an American who speaks little Spanish, the fact that there was always a core group of English-speakers with whom I could speak with around the kitchen and living room areas made my stay very “easy” and pleasurable. Many nice amenities here besides, including a regularly available fitness area with classes taught upstairs — and downstairs a patio with espresso coffee, a restaurant and live music on some evenings. A bright spot to hang out for a while in...

Hostal San Pancho - Hostel

2.0 star property
6.0 out of 10, (12)
"This is a small hostel on the Main Street of San Francisco (San Pancho). Great front desk staff, very helpful. Very clean and a beautiful communal space. Further from beach than most places but still easily walkable and a great location. Breakfast is fresh fruits and a nutty bread (delicious), tea, coffee and other juicy drinks. We had a room with private bathroom and air con. One negative: Window opens into hall, not outside and our window didn’t have a lock on it... Maybe others...

"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms were meticulously maintained. Shower in bathroom had very little water pressure but other water sources had good pressure. Pool was very nice and refreshing after a day on the beach. 2 days the pool was very cloudy so we didnt use it. Easy access to town, the beach, shopping and a variety of services. We were happy to be a little way from the town centre which is very lively at night. We would recommend this...
