"It's not every day you can say you stayed in a 16th century hotel. Of course getting to the room is tricky unless you have balance on wonky floors & stairs. But it's character features, bit of creaky floorboards. The room was fairly modern but was surprised no telephone which I needed. Had to shut the window to sleep to cut down outside noises but not totally. Food was good, restaurant was full, staff friendly. Unique experience."

"Very charming hotel with a lively vintage vibe and an excellent restaurant. The room and general interior seemed tired, but everything was very clean and smelled lovely. "Very friendly staff at St Leonards and every part of my stay was so easy. Food prepared and served quickly and the room was very clean. Only downside was if you have a room at the front of the hotel it becomes very noisy at night as the hotel is right on the A31."
