"The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was tasy and well presented. There was a problem with the radiators in our room, but the hotel gave us a fan heater. There was no hook on the bathroom door. This needed to be replaced. We had a room looking out onto the main road, but it was not noisy. "We had a lovely stay here. So Christmassy but even other times of year so cosy felt homely. Reception was very welcoming room was decorated lovely and really felt like a retreat away from it all. Fires and Christmas trees . We ate in the restaurant and all the food was hot and delicious. Location was very central for village visits and walks it was tough to choose whether to go out for walks or just stay in the hotel and relax. We are already planning our next trip back"
