"If you are looking for a remote lake get away in northern Otsu this is ideal. This location suits the out door adventure types who want to be away from Otsu city. The lake was an amazing place to swim. What also would be a Great Lake side party atmosphere and relaxation with a group of friends. Amazing cleanliness despite the overall facility being quite old. "The property is located a short walk from the station, and is fully air conditioned. It advertises a “full breakfast” but in reality it’s just bread and jams, not a full continental breakfast, so be careful of that. You’re provided with a fairly large lock box for your valuables and the bedding is very soft."

"Our stay at Piece hostel was wonderful! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the staff was great and the location was right next to the market making for lots of dining options and things to do. The only thing I’d advise is to bring ear plugs- the walls are quite thin and with it being a hostel people are up all hours of the night being quite loud. Otherwise a perfect experience! "
