"The Manor, staff the cleanliness is very high rating. The room was a bit dark, but this is insignificant with the access to the garden, lovely helpful staff and environment of the whole place. I give 4.75 rating. Thank you Leisl and Ruth Doreen"

"The property was comfortable enough with friendly staff. Parking offered with electric security gate. Only wish the staff would advise noisy patrons to be cognisant of others by not making noise in the early hours of the morning when some of us are still resting (I struggle to sleep as is). Nothing as annoying as people screaming or talking loud or children crying non-stop at 3am or 4am in the morning. It's unacceptable!"

"I only stayed one night but I will definitely return for longer stays. The owner-manager could not have been kinder or more helpful as I was there for doctors' office visits at the Panorama Medicentre, a short walkable 1 km away. The bed and one bedroom suite were the most comfortable I have stayed in for quite sometime. The breakfast (included) was homemade eggs, bacon, toast and they even had decaf coffee for me. I love Paperbark Manor and will come again."

"Beautiful location, very friendly owners and a great breakfast. Our room was a family delux and had a handy little kitchen with oven, microwave, stove and kettle. Lots of little touches that made us feel welcome, like a selection of books and delicious fruit in the main area, that you can help yourself to. Also ice cubes and wine glasses if you need them for your drinks. "

"A fantastic stay. The property was in a nice neighborhood and the hosts were exceptional and provided valuable insight on the local attractions. "We really enjoyed our stay, it is in an old house that has character. The owners are really friendly and we enjoyed good conversations with them. We even could use their breakfast room one day when it was too rainy to use their roof terrace. If you like older properties with little nooks and crannies and some steps here and there and nice fixed up rooms then this is your place. Lots of plants around as well. On the whole: good stay, we can recommend the place."

"My wife, baby and I travelled to CPT for the Cape Town Cycle Tour. We were treated extremely well during our stay, with care taken in our morning breakfast, daily comfort, safety of our car on the street and even upgrading us during our stay when a larger room became available. The accommodation is well located and very comfortable in the rooms We had a fantastic stay and loved the views, amongst so much else. We'll definitely be back!"

"Excellent location very close to the city as well as main attractions like Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch. Our host was extremely gracious and went out of his way to let us in after hours late at night after our flight was delayed and to answer our questions. The on site parking is very handy for our rental car and the complimentary breakfast is delicious. Would highly recommend this spot for 1-3 travelers looking to see the area! "

"What a blast staying in a camper - so fun and whimsical staff were lovely - breakfast was great - wonderful way to end my trip / long street is its own beast so always think about travelling in. And out safely but long street is also very central and great for food and shopping "

"If you are going to stay in Capetown, most definitely stay here! They have the most amazing staff , totally spotless accommodation in the most beautiful building within walking distance of Company Gardens, Bo Kaap, Kloof and long streets. The Waterfront is also within walking distance of around 25 mins. The breakfast is outstanding as is the food in the on site restaurant Bombay Brasserie. The bar is well stocked and the cocktails are gorgeous. The staff cannot do enough for you and always with a smile. This was a last minute booking as another hotel that I had booked 6 months previously let us down at the very last minute and 2 days before our departure from the UK and my birthday. The hotel surprised us with sweet treats and champagne and arranged for flowers and balloons to be delivered to our gorgeous suite. I am so grateful now that the other hotel cancelled and I was able to celebrate my birthday staying at the Taj instead. We will most definitely be returning next year. "
