"Me and my partner love this hotel so much we are getting married at it the one thing that put us off this time and nothing to do with the hotel itself or the staff was the inconsiderate smokers not using the designated area and leaving the outside area of check in a mess other than that we enjoyed our stay "

"Stayed in the courtyard area, had lovely views over the fields at the back. The room itself was a good size, comfortable bed and storage facilities were all of a good standard, just the bathroom needed a little updating as a bit tired. The breakfast was very good (perfect poached eggs) also had our dinner there a couple of times and the food again was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just 3 miles from Durham City Centre and surrounded by some stunning scenery . Would definitely stay here again if we were venturing up that way."
