Really like staying here, always feels warm and friendly, staff are lovely, bath is always hot, showers are powerful, food is lovely and well priced. I stay in Darlington quite often and wouldnt dream of going anywhere else

We assumed there would be a lift so didn't think to ask for ground floor. That would have been very beneficial. Also although the room was ok we assumed as we were told it was an upgrade it would be a little better e.g some bottled water in room etc. food, service and cleanliness all splendid though

Looking a little tired in places. Breakfast which used to be a key guality of the hotel has now deteriorated completely and could be a Premier Inn or even less. have stayed and put visitors in the hotel since it opened when I ran Whessoe ( a local company). Thankfully a return to individually served breakfasts is an easy fix and hopefully they will consider this suggestion.

lovely hotel but shame about the closure of the ba
the hotel has great character and the rooms and service were good sadly the trip was ruined by the early closure of the bar i was there for a wedding and a lot of the guests were very upset by the early closure of the bar
