"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Royal Oak. Food can be ordered in the evening until 8pm and the menu is extensive and good value. We received a friendly welcome at this family run inn. The full english breakfast was delicious and included in our room price which made it very good value. The bedroom was large with a fairly new ensuite shower and toilet. "Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. "Stayed here on a whim, travel a lot with work and try to pick small independent places where I can, usually with a pub. Unfortunately, the pub was shut as it was a Monday, but I just crossed the road and went there for food and drinks so no problem. The room was beautiful, bright, very clean and very spacious. "All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. First stay as a couple

"First time coming to redworth hall and got to say we really enjoyed it, we would definitely recommend coming here and we are going to book up again. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub, staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and tidy. We stayed in the deluxe house room which was so spacious and we were amazed by how nice it was, the bath was the best bit very spacious bath and was so relaxing. Only downfall we had was the service at the pool bar we waited ages for someone to acknowledge we were there then when they did they told us they would serve us in a few minutes, 10 minutes later no one came to serve us so we ended up going to the bar downstairs as we were so thirsty after coming from the pool and couldn’t wait any longer. We dined at the restraint on the night time and we got steak it was really nice couldn’t fault it, they do try add service charge but we refused to pay it as you don’t have too. Also the breakfast on the morning was absolutely amazing, loads to choose from and it was so fresh and tasty. Overall we have a brilliant stay and looking forward to returning. "
