"This place was much, much better than people rate it. It’s a cute little cabin -- clean and cozy. Parking was easy, and the surrounding area is beautiful. My only complaint was that the shower water temperature was hard to get just right. Otherwise, it was perfect "

"I absolutely loved my stay here. I stayed two separate nights during my travels and these cottages are so well equipped for a home away from home. Everything you could want is provided, they really have thought of everything. The cottages were beautiful, clean, comfortable and the views were stunning! They have plugs for EV cars at each cottage too which is a bonus for people driving e cars. I got to meet one of the owners, she was lovely. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s a must stay...

"I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. "

"We enjoyed a weekend stay with easy access for day trips to Reykjavik, the Golden Circle and Vik, which allowed us to see many of the top sites in Iceland while staying in quiet, beautiful country scenery. "Lovely cabin :well appointed: comfortable bed. But long drive from town 28km and half of it is (currently) a gravel road. It’s a beautiful place. We walked across field to waterfall. Views of the volcano. Nice respite but know you have a drive from the highway/town"

"Staying here is like staying in the Icelandic Highlands, only you’re only about 15 km from Hella (grocery store, fuel, other amenities). The cottage is spotless and has everything you’ll need for a great night (or several nights)! I wish I had known about Afternoon Cottages sooner so we could have stayed longer, but I’m pretty certain we’ll be back!"
