"Convenient location right on Highway 1 near Vik, perfect for stargazing and aurora watching on dark nights. We stayed 2 nights in room #8 in the basement. It was a very small room but had a private washroom. However, the shower curtain kept falling off. One side window had no blinds, so we were disturbed by headlights whenever cars pulled up in front of the reception."

"Our reservation was overlooked and our room was not ready and had to wait over an hour to have staff clean a room. Despite this, the stay was still very good with beautiful surroundings and a delicious breakfast. Would stay there again for sure. "

"This was one of my highlights of Iceland! Hakon was an excellent host and provided us a unique Icelandic experience and really interesting tour of the island. The yurts were beautifully decorated, super clean and warm and dinner was amazing! Would highly recommend! 😊"

"A really fun little property with interesting history. Amazing location and views, everything we needed with the added bonus of a communal sitting/cooking area in reception. Anna made the most delicious cake and it was lovely to have face to face contact rather than self check-in. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. "

"The stay was really good, the cottage is very comfortable and has space even being a tiny house like is very spacious . The only problem is that there’s no hot water, you can have maybe 10-15 mins of hot water in a day! In a freezing snowy day it is not a good situation."
