"This was a great location for our Borrego Springs stay - close enough that we could walk to town and hike the hills of the park leaving from the apartment. We cooked in most days and very much enjoyed sitting in the private backyard space to dine or just enjoy the beautiful weather. "Cozy place to stay for the weekend. Accessing the propertty was a little difficult, i recommend packing very light as the stairs can be difficult to manage with a full size suitcase. The pool was beautiful to swim in and the cat roaming the grounds was super friendly. I could not figure out the honor bar venmo, i wish there was a QR code for the honor bar."

SD Country Estates is an older time-share property, which means that units are quite generous in size, very nice but show their age (mostly on the appliance and fixtures side). "The resort was wonderful. We arrived pretty early and our room was ready so they let us in which was great so we could start our hiking without worrying about all of our luggage and valuables in the car. The location is great for all the trails. Really really nice for the dark night sky! An old golf course is a couple blocks away that you can walk to and view the dark dark sky. We visited the restaurant as well. Soooooo good. Seriously. We really enjoyed our food! The brussel sprouts are ridiculous!!! We will definitely be returning. "

" Out of season stay was perfect here for my sister and I. Stayed in end of February so weather was a mix...cold and rainy, foggy or partly cloudy. Check in was easy (with a code) and practical. We arrived after office hours. All rooms clean, cute kitchenette, all appliances in good shape. I loved the fresh smelling sheets. Host was quick to respond to any inquiries or issues, like how to work the remote control for the heater, (we are not tech savvy) which they came to our room to immediately show us how to work it. This was great because it was a cold night 31F. Efficient and they did an excellent job of making sure we were comfortable, had enough towels, or needed anything. Highly recommend!!! (Restaurant and bar next door, did not try but nice to know there was a place one could dine without having to drive into town (Julian several miles away) if one was too tired.) "
