"The lobby is great with lots of areas for sitting, including near an electric fireplace. Also, on the first floor there is a fitness room with treadmills x 2, bicycles x 2, etc, a small pool, a restaurant. Favorite parts about the hotel: Large room, bathroom with large counter space, refrigerator mini and microwave in room on a large counter, LOCATION. The hotel location is great for the Bay Area in that there’s a free Emeryville shuttle called Emery-Go-Round which stops right outside hotel and takes you to BART station. It’s also great location because it’s surrounded by no less than 5 shopping centers, new and upscale right across the street. Movie theater, restaurants, groceries (Trader Joes), take out ( eg Togos and Chipotle, Burger King), etc. Would stay here again if in this area. The lobby staff varies from friendly and helpful to so-so. Great hotel experience all said. "

The staff was very helpful, the bar drinks fantastic, and we loved the rooms! What a great hotel! Of course the neighborhood is on the edge of being a bit rough."

"We were very comfortable in the room. There was plenty of space to unpack and plug-ins of all types needed. We appreciated the eco-friendliness and the dog-friendliness of the hotel. We had breakfast at the Boathouse twice and enjoyed our choices and the service. We have recommended the DoubleTree to friends already!"
