"The ranch is a little hard to find on Google Maps as we were driving over in the dark after viewing wildflowers in Anza Borrego- it's actually opposite the Warner Springs Ranch gas station. We were saved by an alert and super helpful security guard who spotted us! The cottage is small and cozy, with two heaters in case it gets cold. Basic amenities were provided. It was a good place for us to get a rest and sleep before heading back up to the Bay Area the next day."

"We have stayed in around a dozen rental properties over the past 10 years and this ranch house ranks right at the top of our list. "The resort was wonderful. We arrived pretty early and our room was ready so they let us in which was great so we could start our hiking without worrying about all of our luggage and valuables in the car. The location is great for all the trails. Really really nice for the dark night sky! An old golf course is a couple blocks away that you can walk to and view the dark dark sky. We visited the restaurant as well. Soooooo good. Seriously. We really enjoyed our food! The brussel sprouts are ridiculous!!! We will definitely be returning. "

" Out of season stay was perfect here for my sister and I. Stayed in end of February so weather was a mix...cold and rainy, foggy or partly cloudy. Check in was easy (with a code) and practical. We arrived after office hours. All rooms clean, cute kitchenette, all appliances in good shape. I loved the fresh smelling sheets. Host was quick to respond to any inquiries or issues, like how to work the remote control for the heater, (we are not tech savvy) which they came to our room to immediately show us how to work it. This was great because it was a cold night 31F. Efficient and they did an excellent job of making sure we were comfortable, had enough towels, or needed anything. Highly recommend!!! (Restaurant and bar next door, did not try but nice to know there was a place one could dine without having to drive into town (Julian several miles away) if one was too tired.) "
