"I stayed at the Sparrow Cottage for a weekend in December. There was a little hiccup with the gate code, so I’m glad I arrived while the office was still open. Everything else was great - very clean and comfortable cottage, great welcome/breakfast basket, a really useful suite of appliances for toast and coffee. "The ranch is a little hard to find on Google Maps as we were driving over in the dark after viewing wildflowers in Anza Borrego- it's actually opposite the Warner Springs Ranch gas station. We were saved by an alert and super helpful security guard who spotted us! The cottage is small and cozy, with two heaters in case it gets cold. Basic amenities were provided. It was a good place for us to get a rest and sleep before heading back up to the Bay Area the next day."

"I had a short but great stay. The bed, including the pillows and sheets, were SO comfortable! I stayed on the East side but did not have any issues with the freeway noise. Light does get in around the curtains so maybe not the spot for those who need total darkness, but otherwise would definitely recommend. It was also nice to be close to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc."
