The views to Matapouri Bay and Poor Knights were mesmerizing, the bird life (think intoxicated Kereru) entertaining and the accomodations 5 star hotel level. The Aroha suite was huge and had floor to ceiling glass doors that opened to the amazing outdoors. Julianne was a delightful and gracious host. The views in three directions where of the beautiful Matauwhi Bay with picturesque boats anchored all the way around. The interior of the manor felt like we were staying in Downton Abbey.
