"We loved our stay here! It was so lovely waking up surrounded by birds and trees, with a gorgeous view of the water. We enjoyed the walk to town via tracks off the property exploring the surrounding hills.Russel was a great town to stay in for a few days. Access to surrounding areas was easy and Long Beach was great day in the sun.The cabin is well equipped with everything we could have needed! "One of the best locations in Paihia, close to everything. Beautiful swimming pool.Difficulty accessing the basement garage due to keypad not working so had to get manager to open manually.Property great for two couples but needs a refresh and a bit of TLC. Shower gel ran out on day 1 in ensuite so hadnt been refilled from last persons stay and coffee was a solid lump in the cannister (not airtight). Tiny milk carton provided on arrival, suitable for 1 person. I have never had to pay for internet...

"The house is in a quiet residential area outside the city center with a lovely view. The italian contingent of our group found the host to be very helpful and very responsive. We appreciated her assistance in recovering a lost item; she definitely went above and beyond the expectations of our Italian friends who will remain very grateful."

"I can’t fault the house. It was very clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were all there and in working order. Great to have access to Netflix. Here was the issue. First is the very steep and dark drive way. I like property with easy access. This was not easy access. Once you got to the top of the drive you have to do a 3 point turn to be able to leave. This was not fun on a slope. The second issue is that the house is a shared property. This means there is a rental under the house. And they...

"The house is well maintained and has a beautiful view. The property manager was "all business" - but was responsive when help was requested. Only one bedroom was made available - the other bedrooms were locked. (I some times am restless and might have made use of the second bedroom - though in all fairness I didn't raise the issue.)"

"The house and setting are fabulous. Well-equipped home with everything you could need- lovely linen on the beds for a great sleep, warm outdoor shower, rooftop spa, lots of deck areas with plenty of sun and shade zones, beautiful gardens and lots of bird life. The secluded beach is a short stroll down the garden path. Great communication from the host. We had a truly relaxing week away here. Would love to stay again!"
