"It's lovely to stay at an independent hotel rather than one of the chains, and this hotel retains the age and character of it's surroundings. Our room was large and comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. From the quirky staircases to the charasmatic manager, this was a joy to stay in. "In a lovely quiet village off the beaten track. Rooms are large and comfortable. Main issue was with the outdoor light which was not blocked out by the blinds. Restaurant food is excellent however breakfast was disappointing. The granola and fresh fruit featured only half a strawberry! Free electric car charger was a big bonus. In better weather the outside terrace would have been delightful."

"A really great stay, check in was smooth mid afternoon, superior room was fine with a fantastic super king bed and huge bathroom. We had supper in the bar, good food and drinks in a busy pub setting, a nice buzz and big shout out to Lewis and Sam who were so friendly and professional, a great team. Breakfast was really good, again in the bar with plenty of choices cooked to order as well as a small buffet. We will definitely return again!"

"It's lovely to stay at an independent hotel rather than one of the chains, and this hotel retains the age and character of it's surroundings. Our room was large and comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. From the quirky staircases to the charasmatic manager, this was a joy to stay in. Breakfast was outstanding, definately not the greasy help yourself job that is so common now. Parking is a little challenging, especially if your car is on the longer side, but that just reflects the nature of the town, and we were able to park a short distance away for a small fee. Would definitely come here again!"
