"Because of the name Ocean Resort, we actually thought we would see the ocean from the resort. The shower/tub was difficult to enter and exit. The tub was slippery. It needs a mat for better balance and safety. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillows for us were too big and lumpy. The heavy comforter was too heavy and hot. "We were happy with this unit and we enjoyed the location. Coming from Atlanta area, we were skeptical about the lack of air conditioning. Although, other than the initial shock upon arrival (windows and doors were closed, understandably), the room was very comfortable the entire week. No A/C was no issue at all for us. "My family and I had the most amazing stay here for the holidays. It was our first time in Kauai and we had everything we needed to feel at home to enjoy the space, views, and location. Foodland is just a couple of minutes of walking away, perfectly convenient for cooking meals at home. If I were to provide any suggestions, it would be nice to have more than 1 roll of paper towel for our 1 week stay, and the hairdryer in the guest bathroom seems like it needs to be replaced.
