"Great apartment with everything you need. Leontina, the owner, is very friendly. The terrace has fabulous views and great for eating breakfast or a glass of wine. Ponta da Sol is a short drive and a nice little town with cafes and restaurants. The location is a great base for exploring the island. The drive up the hill is steep and twisty (but not narrow) but if you are intending to drive in Madeira that is something you have to accept. It is worth it!"

"Lovely cottage in a working banana plantation. Good area close to all amenities and several good restaurants. Property is gated so safe and quiet. Good communications from owners. If going on day trips the property is difficult to stop outside so better to arrange pick-up from hotel just down the road. Not great for anyone who lacks mobility."

"We've never stayed in such a beautiful place. Since the first day we called it home and felt totally comfortable. The house and garden are made of stones, with a lot of taste and good energy. Most of the material used is recycled and every spot you look there is something beautiful that naturally fits there. There is a huge variety of plants and a gorgeous pond with fish. "We had a brilliant week staying in this beautiful house. House was lovely and well eqipped, lovely views. We had a good small hire car, which you will need to access this house. The road to the property is very steep and narrow. This may could be a challenge for the faint hearted, however house owner will send you a detailed video near the time of your stay. Excellent communication with Carlis the owner, and we would stay there again."

"We had a fantastic stay at the house. Good cleaning and The house was exactly as described in photos. We had car during our stay and had it parked in the garage. We also loved the area and neighbourhood. Cozy small restaurants and cafees in the area. Defenitly would book this again. Communication was very good with the host. "
