"The garden was lovely with a nice secluded spot for sunbathing. The house was nice. The balcony having lovely views over towards the sea. The locals are very friendly. However the house was a little dusty and there could be more attention to the cleaning in the bedroom. The washing machine was not working which was more of an inconvenience."

"Part II of my Review The small community of Loreto where the Casa is located, has one main street with several bars, an appliance shop, a market, and a grocery store. The grocery is well stocked (and there is also a chain of large modern groceries scattered around the island). We enjoyed Sunday service at the Catholic Church in town with its outside pews. "We had a wonderful stay at Casa do Pombal. Sidónia let us check in early which we really appreciated. The house is exactly what I was looking for with great views and a traditional feel. We had six in our party and had plenty of space inside and out. The kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. It's a short five-minute walk to the church and easy access to the highway for driving excursions. I returned home with very fond memories of my stay there and will definitely...

"Since 1st moment had great experience with host, messaging me in advance to get confirmation and let me know everything ready in advance. Place is nice and clean, towels, bedding, great range of items in the kitchen. Breath taking view, location in the middle of island perfect!"

"Great apartment with everything you need. Leontina, the owner, is very friendly. The terrace has fabulous views and great for eating breakfast or a glass of wine. Ponta da Sol is a short drive and a nice little town with cafes and restaurants. The location is a great base for exploring the island. The drive up the hill is steep and twisty (but not narrow) but if you are intending to drive in Madeira that is something you have to accept. It is worth it!"

"Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt in diesem Häuschen, schöner Blick vom Hügel hinab. Auch im Sommer hatten wir angenehme Temperaturen. Das haus selbst ist nett eingerichtet. Die Anfahrt ist etwas herausfordernd da es doch weit oben auf einem steilen Hügel steht, aber ist das erst mal geschafft erwartet einen ein nettes Häuschen."
