"We checked in very late, and I was impressed that there was still a desk attendant there! They made sure that we knew the best place to park, the wifi password, and where are room was. There was a faint smell in our room that I suspect was from our last guests, and the main sink drained veeeeeeery slowly (almost not at all), but everything else was very comfortable. "Loved the view and the quiet privacy. Lovely little cabin. However, possibly due to slow communication from Expedia , I did not receive the email with the directions or door code. Finding the place in the dark with no directions with just the map app is practically impossible. The address of the cabin is at the top of a narrow dead end lane and the address of the host is difficult to find as the house number is very small and neither that nor the small sign for the cabin is not lit in anyway . ...

"Alert Bay is a very nice very scenic costal community with lots of history. Gordie’s is right in the middle of it all, right on the water with excellent views of the ocean, sunsets are incredible. "What a beautiful location, close to the shore and so quiet you can hear the whales blowing off shore. A lovely home situated on a quiet bay, spacious, clean and with great facilities.
