"The Whale House gave us luxury and wilderness. We explored; we sat and looked at the sea; we ate fresh halibut and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our host, Nancy, could not have been nicer, offering advice and ideas as well as the lovely property to stay in. Highly recommended. Thank you, Nancy, for a perfect stay."

"Alert Bay is a very nice very scenic costal community with lots of history. Gordie’s is right in the middle of it all, right on the water with excellent views of the ocean, sunsets are incredible. Food at the restaurant…the seafood linguine was amazing, sooo good! The room didn’t have a TV but who cares, things to look at were everywhere "
